How to see how much data is in Amplitude

  1. Sign in to Amplitude as an organization admin or manager
  2. Go to Settings → Organization settings → Plans & Billing
  3. Note event (or MTU) usage this month and last month
  4. For per-project counts, open Organization settings → Projects and pick a project

Record monthly event volume; the count resets each calendar month, so add up the months you keep.

How to get a copy of your Amplitude data

  1. Sign in to your project
  2. Open the chart you need
  3. Export its data table as CSV
  4. Save the file
  5. For all raw events, have a developer use the Export API or S3 Export

Chart results can be exported as CSV from the chart's data table. All raw events come from the Export API (JSON) or the Amazon S3 Export integration.

You can't export the raw events behind a single chart, and chart CSVs have row limits.

Amplitude’s official export instructions

These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
