BILL

Finance & ERP

How to see how much data is in BILL

  1. Sign in to BILL as an admin
  2. Open Payables → Bills and set filters to show all bills
  3. Open Receivables → Invoices and Vendors/Customers lists and note the totals
  4. Note how many years of history the account holds

BILL has no storage page; record counts of vendors, customers, bills and payments, plus the date range.

How to get a copy of your BILL data

  1. Sign in as a user with Sync with Accounting System permission
  2. Go to Settings → Legacy Import & Export
  3. Click Export next to the record or transaction type
  4. Choose an export profile, then Export All or Export with filters
  5. Click the file name to download the CSV

Users with Sync with Accounting System permission can export records (vendors, customers) and transactions (bills, payments, invoices) to CSV from Settings → Legacy Import & Export → Export. Past files are under Settings → Import/Export → Export history.

CSV exports leave out attached documents such as bill images, plus notes, so count those separately.

BILL’s official export instructions

These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
