How to see how much data is in Dropbox

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials
  2. Click Admin console in the left sidebar
  3. On the dashboard, check Storage under Team usage

Record the team storage used, not the plan's total storage allowance; on an individual plan, use your avatar → Manage account → Subscriptions storage bar instead.

How to get a copy of your Dropbox data

  1. Log in to dropbox.com
  2. Hover over each file or folder and tick the box beside it
  3. Click Download
  4. Save the .zip file (folders must be under 250 GB and 10,000 files; split larger folders)

Administrators can download team folders directly or use the admin console team content export.

Enter storage used, not the plan's total allowance.

Dropbox’s official export instructions

These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
