How to see how much data is in Expensify
- Sign in to Expensify on the web
- Open the Expenses page and set filters to cover all dates
- Note the number of expenses, then do the same on the Reports page
- Note how many years of history the account holds
Expensify has no storage page; record the number of expenses and reports (receipt images are attached to expenses).
How to get a copy of your Expensify data
- Sign in on the web as a workspace admin
- Open the Reports (or Expenses) page
- Filter by date and select the items
- Click Export to
- Choose All Data – Expense Level Export (CSV)
On the web, open the Expenses or Reports page, select what you need, click Export to and choose a CSV template such as All Data – Expense Level Export. Workspace admins can build custom export templates.
CSV exports include links to receipts rather than the image files, and exports can't be started from the mobile app.
These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
