How to see how much data is in Freshdesk
- Sign in to Freshdesk as an admin or supervisor
- Go to Analytics → Curated reports → Ticket Volume Trends
- Set the date filter to the widest range available
- Note the total tickets created
Freshdesk has no storage meter; record the total ticket count and the years it covers (attachments are capped at 15–20 MB per conversation).

How to get a copy of your Freshdesk data
- Sign in as an Admin
- Open Tickets → All tickets
- Set Created time to Any time
- Click Export, pick CSV or Excel and the fields (expand Show multiline text fields)
- Download the file from Admin → Account exports
Admins and Supervisors can open Tickets → All tickets, filter, then click Export and choose CSV or Excel plus the fields. Finished files are under Admin → Account exports.
Ticket exports leave out full conversation threads and archived tickets, so a full account export (or the API) is needed for those.
These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
