How to see how much data is in Lucidchart
- Sign in to Lucid
- Open Documents and count the documents and folders you own and share
- On an Enterprise account, open the admin panel → Usage data and download the user data CSV
- Note the number of documents and users
Lucid has no storage page; record the number of documents, and remember documents belong to individual users, so ask each user or use the admin tools.

How to get a copy of your Lucidchart data
- Click your profile image and select Account Settings
- Select Document Settings
- Click Download under Backup
- Choose the folders and click Start download
Go to your profile → Account Settings → Document Settings → Backup → Download, choose the folders and click Start download to get a .laf backup file.
The .laf file can only be opened by restoring it into Lucid. For readable copies, export key diagrams one by one as PDF or images.
These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
