How to see how much data is in Miro

  1. Sign in to Miro as a Company Admin
  2. Open the admin Overview dashboard
  3. Read the Boards chart for the total number of boards
  4. On smaller plans, open Team settings → Team profile to see the number of boards

Record the number of boards; Miro shows no storage figure, and the count excludes boards in Trash.

How to get a copy of your Miro data

  1. Open the board and click the three-dot menu
  2. Select Board → Export
  3. Choose Download board backup
  4. Save the .rtb file and repeat for each board

Board owners and co-owners can open a board's menu → Board → Export → Download board backup to save an .rtb file. Enterprise eDiscovery Admins can bulk-export boards from the Admin console as PDF, SVG or HTML.

Board backups are one board at a time and can only be reopened in Miro, and Admin console exports are Enterprise-only and expire after 14 days.

Miro’s official export instructions

These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
