Data guides
Missive: see how much data you have, then export it.
Pick a system to see two things: how to check how much data is in it, and how to export a copy. No form, no sign-in.

How to see how much data is in Missive
- Open Missive and click your avatar at the bottom left
- Open Analytics and choose the Overview report
- Set the widest date range you need
- Note Messages received, Messages sent and New conversations
Missive has no storage meter; record message counts, and check mailbox size in the connected Gmail or Microsoft 365 account, since that is where the email is stored.

How to get a copy of your Missive data
- Open Settings
- Go to Login & Security → Export your data
- Choose a type, such as conversations
- Download the file from the link Missive posts in your inbox
- Repeat for comments, contacts and other types you need
Go to Settings → Login & Security → Export your data and choose a type (conversations, comments, contacts, responses, rules and more). Missive posts a download link in your inbox when the export is ready.
Each data type is a separate export, so run one for every type you need, starting with conversations, comments and contacts.
These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
