How to see how much data is in Notion

  1. In Notion on desktop or web, open Settings in the sidebar, then select General
  2. Select Export all workspace content and choose HTML, Markdown or CSV
  3. Open the email from Notion and download the export within 7 days
  4. Note the size of the downloaded file

Record the archive size; it includes uploaded files but excludes pages you cannot access, such as other members' private pages.

Notion’s official export instructions

These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
