Data guides
Salesforce: see how much data you have, then export it.
Pick a system to see two things: how to check how much data is in it, and how to export a copy. No form, no sign-in.

How to see how much data is in Salesforce
- Sign in to Salesforce as an administrator and open Setup
- Enter Storage Usage in the Quick Find box, then select Storage Usage
- Note the data storage and file storage in use shown at the top of the page
- Review the storage used per record type and the largest files to see where the data sits
Record data storage used plus file storage used, not the storage limits.

How to get a copy of your Salesforce data
- In Salesforce, open Setup and type Data Export in the Quick Find box
- Select Data Export, then Export Now (or Schedule Export)
- Tick Include all data (and attachments if you want files), then start the export
- Wait for Salesforce's email saying the export is ready (can take days)
- Download every .zip file within 48 hours, before the links expire
Administrators can schedule a full Data Export (Setup → Data Export) or use Data Loader for selected objects.
Files and attachments are exported separately from records and can be much larger.
These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
