How to see how much data is in WhatsApp Business
- Open WhatsApp Business on the phone that holds the account
- Go to Settings → Storage and data → Manage storage
- Note the total WhatsApp storage figure at the top
- Tap a chat to see how much space that chat's media uses
Record the storage used on the phone; chats live on the device (and its backup), so check every phone or linked device the business uses.

How to get a copy of your WhatsApp Business data
- Open the individual or group chat
- Tap ⋮ → More → Export chat
- Tap Without media or Include media
- Choose how to send the file (for example email)
On the phone, open a chat and tap ⋮ → More → Export chat, then choose Without media or Include media and share the file (for example by email).
Export works one chat at a time. Include media only adds the most recent media, and the text file cannot be re-imported into WhatsApp.
